In the culmination of the season Phillip Oakley from Owensboro, Kentucky had garnered enough round wins to become the inaugural season's champion.  Oakley used the strength of the Event #1 win and several late round finishes in his Texas Roadhouse backed entry to seal the championship.  As the series champion Oakley (below) will receive $2,000 cash courtesy of Lyons Raceway Park and Steve Schmidt Competition Engines, a complimentary 30-gallon drum of Q16 courtesy of VP Racing Fuels, an "Elite 500" Delay Box from Digital Delay, $300 cash from Quick Fuel Technology, a deluxe log book/dial-in marker holder from Tuff-Paw Aluminum Products and a gold card for the 2010 races.  Oakley adds this championship to his long list of credentials including the 2003 JEG'S Super Quick Series championship.  Christopher Carrico picked up a $500 gift certificate and Mike Hodge a $250 based upon their second and third place finishes courtesy of John Coughlin at JEG'S High Performance.

Look for more exciting things to come in the 2010 season.  Series Coordinator James Monroe said, "All factors considered it was a great season with some small growing pains.  I am humbled that so many racers joined us for these events on multiple occasions.  It was a bit of a struggle at times to bolster the door car side but our commitment to those racers will remain unwaivered.  We are in preliminary discussions with several key people to decide what direction we will go from here and am pretty confident that some very interesting developments are coming down the pike.
